Position Summary:
- Firmware Development: Firmware Development for sensor integration and OT devices integration
- Device Integration: Integrate with Modbus and other industrial protocols to integrate devices to the IoT platform.
- Site Surveys & Solution Design: Work with the BDA or sales team to assess on-site infrastructure, devices, and connectivity requirements. To Determine if existing assets can be integrated or if additional external sensors are needed.
- Document Findings – Create detailed reports and solution proposals for customer review.
- Field Support & Installation Assistance: Coordinate with the installation team, offering technical support for commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Technical Client Support: Provide technical support to clients with regard to technical questions and troubleshooting along with the support team.
- Testing & Debugging: Execute hardware-software integration, debugging, and performance tuning of IoT firmware.
- Collaboration: Work closely with hardware engineers, cloud developers, and product teams to ensure seamless device communication and data flow.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Firmware Development
- Develop a embedded firmware to integrate sensors, OT devices, and industrial automation systems with IoT platforms.
- Tune firmware for performance, low power usage, and real-time data processing.
- Provide secure data transmission through encryption and authentication methods.
2. Device Integration
- Implement MQTT, HTTP/REST, BLE, LoRa, and other industrial protocols to create communication between IoT devices.
3. Site Surveys & Solution Design
- Perform on-site surveys with the BDA or sales force to assess infrastructure, connectivity solutions, and device compatibility.
- Detect issues concerning network availability, power supply, and sensor location.
- Identify whether current assets can be incorporated or whether new hardware components and external sensors are required.
4. Documentation & Reporting
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation, integration guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
- Develop solution proposals, feasibility reports, and technical specifications for internal and customer purposes.
- Ensure version control and firmware updates with adequate documentation.
5. Field Support & Installation
- Support installation teams during on-site commissioning, device configuration, and problem-solving.
- Provide field engineer and installation team technical training and technical guidance.
- Guarantee proper wiring, setup, and firmware installation at installation time.
- Perform post-installation testing to check system performance and data correctness.
6. Technical Client Support
- Collaborate with the support team in answering technical questions and solving device problems.
- Offer remote and on-site support to customers for integration and maintenance of systems.
- Provide device operation and IoT system usage training sessions and workshops to clients.
7. Testing & Debugging
- Conduct hardware-software integration tests for smooth functioning.
- Debug firmware performance-related issues, communication protocols, and sensor calibration.
8. Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with data analysts, hardware engineers, and cloud developers to enhance device-to-cloud communication.
