Responsibilities
In your important role as GVCR (Global VAT Compliance Reporting) Technology Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Manage client needs with respect to global indirect tax compliance. This includes but is not limited to:
- Coordinate on-boarding of new clients
- Assist in managing GVCR compliance calendars and workflows
- Understanding and being able to read the Indirect Tax reports from source systems like SAP, Oracle, D365, NetSuite, etc.
- Setting up and maintaining RSM's client engagement platform
- Creating Alteryx workflows
- Assessing data quality
- Mapping tax codes
- Proficiency in Power BI, AI, Alteryx, and data mapping
- Experience with machine learning and data analysis.
- Development and support experience
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for raising tickets.
- Undertaking the unit, integration, and UAT testing cycles
- Supporting technology upgrades
- Experience in developing Power BI DashboardsAssist with documenting GVCR Technology procedures and processes
- Develop, mentor, motivate, and train staff level team members. Provide appropriate and timely performance feedback to staff colleagues
- Provide timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
- Develop an understanding of clients businesses
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell
- Current relevant knowledge of global indirect tax rules and regulations
- Ability to manage a large and varied client portfolio with respect to technology
- Effectively manage risk and meet commercial and financial targets
Candidate Requirements for the role
- Requires a minimum of 5-6 years of full-time VAT/GST experience for a Supervisor role either in-house or within an accounting/advisory firm
- Previous experience in Technology set up of client data into Indirect Tax engines
- Experience in developing Alteryx Workflows
- Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
- Excellent client relationship-building skills
- Strong communicator and team player
- Willingness to share knowledge and experience with other members of the team
- Strong understanding of VAT compliance processes
- Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
