Responsibilities

In your important role as GVCR (Global VAT Compliance Reporting) Technology Associate, you will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and management of collaboration platforms (e.g., task management, document sharing, and project tracking tools).
  • Coordinate the assignment of tasks to the Tax Compliance team, ensuring that deadlines and responsibilities are clearly defined and tracked.
  • Help monitor the progress of ongoing tax compliance activities and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Develop proficiency in using ETL tools like Alteryx to support tax data integration, transformation, and automation.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of Power BI dashboards and reports to support data visualization for tax analysis.
  • Work closely with the Tax Technology Lead to ensure tax technology solutions are functioning effectively.
  • Support the Tax Compliance team with administrative tasks, such as managing schedules, ensuring that the necessary data and tools are available for timely completion of tasks.
  • Help in setting up workflows and processes for efficient tax data management and reporting.
  • Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn both tax and technology aspects of the role, including gaining hands-on experience with tax-related software and reporting tools.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and industry best practices to enhance tax compliance and reporting processes.
  • Assist with data validation and troubleshooting to ensure the accuracy and integrity of tax-related data across systems.
  • Help monitor and maintain the quality of tax data being input into tax systems and reporting tools.

Candidate Requirements for the role

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently while working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
  • A willingness to learn about tax compliance processes, tax technology tools, and data management best practices.
  • Motivated to grow within the organization and contribute to the success of the Tax Technology team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to tax compliance processes or tax technology tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic project management principles is advantageous.
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce with Computers or a related field.
  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in tax technology, preferably with exposure to global VAT/GST technology processes.
