About the Role

RIR is seeking International Policy Researchers & Analysts to contribute high-quality research and analysis on international, regional, strategic, and security-related issues. This role is ideal for individuals with strong academic grounding, research experience, and an interest in producing policy-relevant outputs for an international audience.

We welcome applications from early-career to mid-level researchers, including those affiliated with academia, think tanks, media, or policy institutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & Analysis

  • Apply strong analytical and critical thinking to interpret complex policy issues
Writing & Publications
  • Produce well-structured research reports, policy briefs, and analytical articles
  • Ensure clarity, accuracy, and policy relevance in all written outputs
  • Collaborate with editors and senior researchers to meet publication standards
Collaboration & Monitoring
  • Work with international researchers and analysts across regions
  • Stay updated on current international developments, security trends, and diplomatic processes
  • Contribute ideas for future research themes and projects

Qualifications & SkillsRequired
  • Strong background in International Relations, Political Science, or related fields
  • Demonstrated experience in research and analytical writing (academic, policy, or journalistic)
  • Excellent written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, research-driven environment
Preferred
  • Master's degree or PhD in International Relations, Political Science, Security Studies, or Strategic Studies
  • Prior experience with think tanks, research institutes, or policy organizations
  • Familiarity with international security, geopolitics, or strategic affairs
  • Published articles, reports, or policy papers (a strong plus)

Compensation & Growth

Salary Package

  • Trial Period (1 month): USD 800 1,500
  • Post-Trial Period: USD 1,500 5,000 (based on performance and output quality)
  • Growth: Salary increases with sustained collaboration and strong research contributions
