Standardized Job Title: International Business Development Executive
About The Opportunity
A growing player in the Food & Agriculture export sectorspecialising in premium Basmati rice milling, packaging and international distribution. We supply high-quality rice to distributors, wholesalers and retail partners across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and Asia. This is an onsite role in India for a fresher keen to launch a career in export sales and international business development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support outbound lead generation and prospecting for international marketsidentify distributors, buyers and retail chains across assigned geographies.
- Prepare and send commercial quotations, Proforma Invoices and follow up to convert enquiries into confirmed orders.
- Coordinate export logistics and documentation with operations and freight forwardersensure timely submission of commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and other export paperwork.
- Maintain and update CRM with leads, pipeline activities and customer communications to ensure accurate sales forecasting.
- Conduct market research and competitive pricing analysis to recommend pricing strategies, promotions and market entry tactics.
- Collaborate with quality, operations and finance teams to resolve order issues, track shipments and support customer onboarding.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Agriculture, International Trade or related discipline.
- Basic understanding of export documentation and Incoterms.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and Microsoft Excel for pipeline tracking and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written English; ability to draft professional commercial communications.
- Willingness to work onsite in India with flexibility for occasional international travel and extended hours to match customer time zones.
Preferred
- Prior internship or exposure to FMCG/food export operations.
- Knowledge of additional languages relevant to target markets (Arabic, French, Russian) or experience dealing with distributors abroad.
- Familiarity with trade compliance for food imports (sanitary/phytosanitary requirements, certificate handling).
