Intern - Mechanical Design

As a Mechanical Design Intern, you will support the design and development of mechanical components and enclosures for electronic products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and contribute to building reliable, manufacturable solution

Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist in the design of product enclosures and casings for electronic devices.

• Work with PCB STEP and 3D files to ensure proper fitment and mechanical integration

• Create 3D CAD models, assemblies, and basic renderings

• Support the design of screw mounts, snap-fits, port cut-outs, and internal structures

• Collaborate with the electronics team for prototype validation and iterative improvements

• Prepare manufacturing drawings and technical documentation

• Participate in 3D printing and rapid prototyping activities

• Contribute to design optimization for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and cost-effective production

  
  
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills

Pursuing or recently completed a B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Product Design, or a related field
Basic proficiency in CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Creo, or similar software
Strong understanding of mechanical fundamentals and basic manufacturing concepts
Exposure to 3D printing or enclosure design will be considered an added advantage
