Summary/Mission
Internship program in logistics will provide the student to get exposure of the working in Supply Chain & Logistics department of Valeo Group. In this internship program student will be involved in various activities related to supply chain management like material movement, inventory control, transportation, warehouse operations etc. The main objective of this program is to train the students for future managers in SC&L field by providing them hands on experience of the day to day operation in a manufacturing unit.
Responsibilities
- To assist the Material Planner in all the activities required for proper planning and execution of the jobs assigned to him/her.
- Assist the Material planner in all the jobs assigned to him/her like, Inventory control, Bill of material, inventory reconciliation, new project launches, spares consumption analysis, MPS calculation, SAP related work etc.
- To assist the Stores team in all the activities required for proper running of the store operations.
- Assist the stores team in all the jobs assigned to him/her like, material receipt and issue, stock transfer, damages, returns, inventory verification, stock reconciliation etc.
- To assist the Transportation team in all the activities required for proper planning and execution of the jobs assigned to him/her.
- Assist the Transportation team in all the jobs assigned to him/her like, transportation scheduling, vehicle maintenance, route optimization, shipment tracking, freight cost negotiation etc.
