Intellectual Property (IP) Management Intern

Location:

Ahmedabad / Gurugram / Remote

Duration:

8–12 Weeks (2–3 Months)

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly motivated intern interested to explore the fascinating field of Intellectual properties management (including patents, designs, trade Intern to support our innovation and intellectual property initiatives. This role provides hands-on exposure to the complete IM management lifecycle include patent identification, competitive IP analysis, IP filings, and involves cross-functional collaboration with legal, technology, and operations teams.

The intern will play a key role in strengthening the company's IP portfolio by identifying patentable ideas and supporting the end-to-end patent filing process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and evaluate potential areas for patent filings across business functions
  • Conduct research on existing patents and analyze competitor intellectual property (IP) landscape
  • Assist in documenting innovative ideas, concepts, and technical processes for patent applications
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, and technology teams to facilitate patent drafting and filing
  • Track ongoing IP filings and maintain internal documentation and records
  • Support in building and managing an internal IP repository/database
  • Stay updated on IP trends, regulations, and best practices

Desired Skills & Competencies:

  • Technical/engineering mindset
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Basic understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and patents (preferred)

Education:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a B. Tech from IITs or other premier engineering institutions.
