Job Description

SucSEED Indovation Fund is seeking an enthusiastic candidate or experienced professional to serve as the Sales, Marketing, and Communications point of contact. They will be responsible for developing a marketing communications strategy and a content strategy aligned with the company's objectives, and supporting content creation and execution. This is an internship opportunity that will begin with responsibilities in marketing communications strategy, planning, and content execution.

Location / Worksite:

Our office in Gachibowli. This is a full-time, in-office internship (typically five days per week) to ensure close collaboration with the team and attendance at on-site meetings. We offer flexibility in start/end times within core office hours, and occasional remote work may be considered with prior approval from the supervisor for specific tasks.

Day-to-day Duties

  • Generate sales leads for partnerships, community engagement, and investor relations to support portfolio growth.
  • Profile portfolio companies using a feature-driven approach.
  • Conduct basic keyword research and apply SEO best practices to increase web traffic.
  • Manage investor (internal) and market (external) communications via newsletters and other channels.
  • Manage and grow presence on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Medium, and YouTube; use Facebook as appropriate.
  • Profile partners and conduct interviews on key topics.
  • Research industry topics using online sources, interviews, and studies.
  • Write clear, persuasive marketing copy to promote the fund, its services, and portfolio startups.
  • Collaborate with PR agencies to secure media coverage and manage information dissemination.
  • Prepare well-structured drafts using collaborative tools and submit for editorial review.
  • Identify audience needs and content gaps, and recommend new topics.
  • Ensure consistent brand style (fonts, imagery, and tone) across all creatives and communications.
  • Coordinate with marketing and design teams to produce graphics and visual assets for content.

Who Should Apply

Only candidates who meet the following should apply:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field. Candidates seeking purely technical roles (e.g., BTech students focused on engineering/technical functions) should not apply.
  • Previous experience in sales, marketing, communications, content writing, or a similar role.
  • Experience conducting research using diverse sources.
  • Familiarity with web publishing platforms and formats.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English; proficiency in one or two regional languages is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Available to start immediately or within a short notice period (up to two weeks).
  • Available for a full-time, six-month internship.
  • Willingness to participate in scheduled performance reviews during the internship to support consideration for extension, freelance engagements, or conversion to a full-time role.

Duration And Conversion Path

Six-month internship. To provide clarity on the conversion process and career path:

  • Structured evaluations: Intern performance will be reviewed at mid-term (around month 3) and at the end of the internship (month 6). There may also be informal check-ins monthly.
  • Conversion outcomes: Based on performance, business needs, and mutual fit, possible outcomes include:
    • Extension as a paid freelancer or fellowship for a defined period.
    • Pre-placement offer (PPO) or direct conversion to a full-time role within the organisation.
  • Evaluation criteria: Quality of work, initiative, collaboration and communication skills, timely delivery, measurable impact (e.g., lead generation, content performance), and cultural fit as assessed by supervisors and stakeholders.
  • Timeline and communication: Final conversion decisions (extension, freelance engagement, PPO or full-time offer) will typically be communicated within two weeks of the final evaluation.
  • Offer terms: Any conversion to a full-time position will be accompanied by a formal employment offer specifying role, compensation, joining date, and probation terms. Fellowship or freelance arrangements will have clear contracts outlining duration, compensation, deliverables, and exit terms.
