Role Overview
The Interior Site Engineer is responsible for managing on-site execution of interior projects, ensuring that design intent is executed accurately, timelines are maintained, and quality standards are met. This role requires strong coordination between the design team, vendors, factory, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Execution & Supervision
- Oversee daily site activities related to interior execution.
- Ensure all work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, polishing, and installation works.
- Ensure proper installation of modular furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, and custom elements.
2. Quality Control
- Maintain high standards of workmanship across all stages of the project.
- Check materials delivered to site and verify against approved specifications.
- Identify and rectify execution issues before they escalate.
3. Vendor & Contractor Coordination
- Coordinate with carpenters, electricians, painters, marble workers, and other vendors.
- Ensure vendors adhere to project timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Manage site workforce efficiently.
4. Drawing & Design Implementation
- Interpret interior design drawings and ensure correct execution on site.
- Work closely with designers to resolve site challenges.
- Suggest practical solutions when design adjustments are required.
5. Project Timeline Management
- Track project progress against timelines.
- Ensure tasks are completed as per the project schedule.
- Proactively identify delays and implement corrective actions.
6. Client Coordination
- Provide regular updates to the project manager or client when required.
- Handle basic site queries from clients during visits.
7. Site Documentation
- Maintain daily site reports and progress updates.
- Track material usage and inventory at site.
- Document completed stages and pending tasks.
8. Safety & Site Management
- Maintain site cleanliness and safety standards.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of materials.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of interior execution processes.
- Ability to read interior drawings and working drawings.
- Vendor management and coordination skills.
- Problem-solving ability during site challenges.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or Construction Management.
- 25 years of experience in interior project execution.
- Experience in residential interior projects preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with modular furniture installations.
- Understanding of BOQs, site measurements, and execution planning.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings.
