Job Overview
Ailtire Designs is looking for a skilled, detail-oriented, and creative Interior Designer with 45 years of professional experience to join our growing design studio. The ideal candidate should be confident in handling projects independently, from initial concept development to on-site execution, while maintaining high design standards, timelines, and client satisfaction. This role requires a strong balance of creativity, technical expertise, and coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop innovative design concepts, mood boards, and cohesive material and finish palettes aligned with client requirements and brand aesthetics.
- Prepare complete sets of working drawings, including space planning, layouts, sections, elevations, lighting plans, and detailed joinery drawings.
- Coordinate closely with vendors, contractors, consultants, and site teams to ensure accurate execution of design intent.
- Conduct regular site visits in and around Thane/Mumbai to monitor progress, ensure quality standards, and resolve on-site design or execution issues.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to timelines, budgets, and documentation requirements.
- Participate actively in client meetings, design presentations, material finalizations, and revisions as required.
- Ensure seamless workflow between design development, drawing stages, and on-site execution.
- Maintain organized project documentation, drawings, approvals, and coordination records.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or a related field.
- 45 years of relevant experience in residential and/or commercial interior design projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and SketchUp / 3Ds Max; working knowledge of MS Office (Photoshop is an added advantage).
- Strong understanding of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and construction methodologies.
- Ability to produce accurate, detailed technical drawings and handle projects independently.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and time-management skills.
- High attention to detail with a problem-solving mindset and proactive approach.
