Interesting Opportunity For Controls Design Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Design turbine and driven equipment control systems, including upgrades to existing field systems.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, interconnect schedules, and HMI/PLC software for industrial automation systems.
• Select PLC hardware and develop software using Ladder Logic for control panels.
• Develop and modify HMI software and display elements for system integration.
• Support Project Management teams in defining custom requirements and collaborate with manufacturing and testing teams for successful project delivery.
• Participate in customer design reviews, HAZOPs, FPC (Factory Pre-Commissioning), acceptance testing, and commissioning support.
• Perform root cause analysis of field/assembly issues and define corrective actions.
• Implement design changes using Promis-e CONNECT and Windchill configurable systems.
• Ensure electrical designs meet ANSI/IEC/CEC/NEMA/ISA standards.
• Maintain and enhance standard composite designs for sales orders, retrofits, and upgrades.
• Contribute to Built-In Quality Gate processes to reduce engineering design check (EDC) errors.
• Collaborate across engineering, plant, sales, and service teams to implement design improvements and process corrections.
