Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Integration Lead Developer to design and deliver end-to-end healthcare integrations across clinical and claims systems. This role combines hands-on development and technical leadership, requiring expertise in integration engines, healthcare data standards (HL7/FHIR), and scalable architecture design
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement end-to-end integration architecture across clinical, claims, and third-party systems
- Define data flow, transformation, validation, and mapping strategies
- Ensure scalability, fault tolerance, and performance of integration pipelines
- Lead integration development efforts across design, implementation, and support
- Build and maintain interfaces using integration engines (e.g., Rhapsody, Mirth, Iguana)
- Develop message transformations (HL7 ↔ FHIR ↔ JSON/XML)
- Implement API-based and event-driven integrations
- Ensure data consistency, validation, and compliance across systems
- Design integrations for claims workflows (eligibility, prior authorization, adjudication)
- Enforce healthcare data standards and terminologies (SNOMED, LOINC, CPT)
- Ensure secure data exchange (encryption, authentication, audit logging)
- Act as technical owner for integration initiatives and guide development teams
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and healthcare SMEs
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in integration development
- Strong hands-on experience with integration engines (Rhapsody, Mirth, or Iguana)
- Solid experience with HL7 (v2/v3), FHIR, and healthcare data standards
- Experience with REST/SOAP API integrations
- Strong SQL and database design skills
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, JavaScript, C#, Lua, or PowerShell)
Preferred Qualifications
- Rhapsody Certification
- Epic Interface Bridge Certification
- Experience with healthcare claims systems
- Experience in large enterprise integration environments
Additional Skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability and payer-provider workflows
- Knowledge of compliance and data security standards (HIPAA or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
