Job Description Integration Lead - Middleware & Enterprise Integrations

Role Overview The Integration Lead is responsible for the end-to-end design, development, rollout, and operational stability of the middleware layer connecting enterprise systems with core platform systems. This role acts as the technical bridge between enterprise stakeholders and internal core teams, ensuring seamless integration, accurate domain mapping, and stable production operations. The position combines hands-on middleware development, technical leadership, UAT ownership, production rollout, hypercare management, and ongoing production support.
Key Responsibilities
. Design and implement middleware services connecting enterprise and core systems.
. Lead the development of transformation APIs for payload conversion, normalization, validation, and enrichment.
. Define canonical data models and mapping standards across systems.
. Establish orchestration, routing, and error-handling strategies for integrations.
. Act as the primary technical bridge between enterprise stakeholders and core platform teams.
. Translate business and domain requirements into scalable integration solutions.
. Align API contracts, payload structures, data ownership, and SLAs across systems.
. Lead and mentor a team of integration developers (2-5 members).
. Break down integration requirements into implementation-ready components.
. Conduct architecture, design, and code reviews to ensure quality and standards compliance.
. Ensure readiness for SIT and UAT by validating transformation logic and edge cases.
. Coordinate defect triage and drive timely resolution during testing phases.
. Own production readiness, deployment planning, and rollout sequencing.
. Lead hypercare activities during go-live and stabilization phases.
. Monitor integration performance and error trends post-release.
. Ensure middleware systems remain stable, scalable, and resilient in production.
. Implement structured logging, correlation IDs, monitoring dashboards, and SLA tracking.
. Lead root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventive improvements.
. Maintain strong documentation, governance, and integration best practices.
. Drive continuous improvement in integration reliability, performance, and observability.
Required Qualifications & Experience
. 6-8 years of experience in enterprise integrations and middleware development.
. Proven experience leading middleware implementations end-to-end.
. Experience owning UAT, production rollout, and hypercare phases.
. Experience managing or mentoring small technical teams.
. Strong hands-on expertise in REST API development, payload transformation, event-driven integrations, and microservices architecture.
. Experience supporting live production systems and handling incidents.
