Job Description

We are hiring a Manager – Commercial Lines (Sales) for a leading insurance broking firm focused on delivering corporate insurance and risk advisory solutions. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales professional who can drive business through self-generated leads, corporate client acquisition, and relationship management.

Role Overview

As a Manager – Commercial Lines (Sales), you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring corporate clients and managing the complete sales lifecycle across Employee Benefits and Non-Employee Benefits insurance products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new corporate clients
  • Generate business through networking, corporate outreach, and references
  • Engage with CXOs, business owners, HR heads, and key stakeholders
  • Explore opportunities across Employee Benefits & Commercial Insurance lines
  • Conduct client meetings (virtual/physical) for pitching and negotiations
  • Manage end-to-end sales cycle: lead generation → pitching → negotiation → closure
  • Ensure renewals, retention, and cross-selling/up-selling opportunities
  • Coordinate with internal teams and insurers for smooth onboarding and servicing
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets consistently

Required Skills & Competencies

  • 8–12 years of experience in corporate insurance sales / business development
  • Strong exposure to Employee Benefits & Non-Employee Benefits (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of insurance products including:
  • Fire, Marine, Liability, Professional Indemnity
  • EAR / CAR
  • Group Medical Cover (GMC), Group Personal Accident (GPA), Group Term Life (GTL)
  • Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Self-driven with a target-oriented and ownership mindset
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing end-to-end sales closure
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools

Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline (MBA in Marketing preferred)
  • Certifications from Insurance Institute of India (Associate/Fellowship) preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
