Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Insurance Manager to lead and streamline insurance operations across partner hospitals. The role involves managing cashless approvals, claims processing, TPA coordination, and ensuring accurate billing and documentation for smooth patient journeys.

Key Responsibilities

1. Insurance Operations & Team Management

Lead and manage the insurance desk operations across multiple hospitals

Train and supervise insurance executives for efficient case handling

Ensure adherence to SOPs and process standardization

2. Policy Verification & KYP Compliance

Oversee KYP (Know Your Policy) verification for all patients

Validate policy details including coverage, exclusions, waiting periods, and endorsements

Ensure complete and accurate documentation before processing

3. Cashless & Claims Management

Handle end-to-end cashless approvals and reimbursement cases

Coordinate with TPAs and insurance companies for approvals and query resolution

Monitor TATs to ensure faster approvals and discharge processes

4. Billing & Documentation Accuracy

Ensure accurate patient billing in line with insurance guidelines

Verify medical coding, treatment details, and documentation before claim submission

Minimize claim rejections and deductions

5. Coordination & Stakeholder Management

Act as a bridge between patients, hospitals, TPAs, and internal teams

Resolve escalations related to claims, approvals, and billing

Maintain strong relationships with insurance partners

6. Discrepancy Resolution & Compliance

Identify and resolve discrepancies in claims and policy data

Ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements

Maintain proper records and reporting for all cases

7. MIS & Reporting

Track daily insurance cases, approvals, rejections, and revenue impact

Prepare reports on TAT, approval rates, and claim success metrics

Provide insights to improve insurance conversion and efficiency

Skills & Requirements

Strong knowledge of health insurance processes, TPAs, and hospital billing

Hands-on experience in cashless claims and reimbursement handling

Good understanding of insurance terminology (SI, co-pay, deductibles, exclusions, etc.)

Proficiency in Excel and reporting

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously

Preferred Background

Experience in hospital insurance desk / healthcare startup / aggregator model

Prior experience managing a team is a plus
