Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Instrumentation Maintenance and Calibration:
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of field instruments, sensors, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair instrumentation faults to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain calibration records as per GMP and regulatory requirements.
  1. Installation and Commissioning:
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of new instrumentation systems and upgrades.
  • Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) for new instruments and equipment.
  1. Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain documentation for instrumentation activities, including SOPs, manuals, and calibration certificates.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as GMP, FDA, and ISO.
  • Assist in audits and implement corrective actions related to instrumentation.
  1. Troubleshooting and Support:
  • Provide technical support to resolve instrumentation-related issues during production.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth plant operations.
  1. Safety and Quality Assurance:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure instruments are safe for use in hazardous environments.
  • Implement quality assurance practices to ensure high standards of manufacturing.
  1. Continuous Improvement:
  • Suggest and implement improvements to instrumentation systems to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in instrumentation and automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in instrumentation in a pharmaceutical API or chemical manufacturing unit.
  • Proficiency in working with DCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory compliance, and validation processes.
  • Hands-on experience with flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and analyzers.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with safety standards in handling hazardous chemicals and equipment.
