Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Automation Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation systems and instrumentation solutions for industrial processes. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to travel for commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop automation systems using PLC, HMI, and SCADA platforms
Create detailed instrumentation drawings using AutoCAD and PDMS software
Develop and interpret P&ID diagrams for process control systems
Design pipe and cascade systems, control panels, and instrumentation layouts
Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
Configure and program PLC systems from Siemens, Schneider, and Rockwell
Implement redundant systems for critical process control applications
Select appropriate process instruments, tubing, and fittings for various applications
Travel to client sites for system commissioning, installation, and troubleshooting
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineers and project managers
Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations using MS Office
Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations
Required Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech degree in Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field
Minimum 4 years of experience in automation and instrumentation engineering
Proficiency in AutoCAD and PDMS for instrumentation design
Strong knowledge of PLC programming (Siemens/Schneider/Rockwell)
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems configuration and implementation
Understanding of process instruments, tubing, and fittings selection
Ability to interpret and create P&ID diagrams
Experience with redundant control systems design
Knowledge of pipe and cascade system design
Familiarity with control panel design and testing procedures
Experience conducting FAT and SAT procedures
Willingness to travel for commissioning activities as required
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
