About The Role

We are seeking a talented and creative Instructional Designer with a passion for clear communication and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly content. In this role, you will develop comprehensive documentation and engaging learning materials for our cutting-edge test automation tool. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and training teams to ensure all content is accurate, impactful, and tailored to the needs of a diverse user base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain user guides, tutorials, FAQs, and other technical documentation for the test automation tool.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to gain a deep understanding of tool functionality and ensure content accuracy.
  • Create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation suitable for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Ensure consistency with established style guides and adhere to best practices in technical writing and instructional design.
  • Update existing documentation based on product enhancements, bug fixes, and user feedback.
  • Design and develop engaging learning materials, including:
    • Storyboards for video tutorials
    • Interactive learning modules
    • Hands-on exercises and simulations
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify learning objectives and target audiences.
  • Apply instructional design principles to create effective learning experiences that enhance knowledge retention and skill development.
  • Develop assessments and evaluations to measure learner comprehension and identify improvement areas.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and best practices in instructional design and eLearning.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Instructional Design, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Technical Writer or Instructional Designer.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and software testing processes.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content structuring skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience creating video tutorials or multimedia learning content.
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
