About Masai
Masai is an outcome-driven career school. Our mission is to skill India's untapped and underutilized talent, and to train them for some of the most in-demand jobs in the world. As India's fastest-growing career institute, Masai has one goal: unlocking the human potential of India by making our education system outcome-driven.
The Role
We're looking for a Instructional Designer (Product Management, Digital Marketing & Analytics) to lead and elevate our course offerings. In this senior role you will own curriculum strategy and execution across these specializations, ensure content aligns to current industry needs, and drive measurable learning outcomes that translate into job-ready skills. You will collaborate closely with subject-matter experts, hiring partners, and cross-functional teams to build scalable learning solutions, mentor junior designers, and continuously iterate on assessment and engagement frameworks.
Now, here's the thing: we don't just care about finishing a course. We care about results. You'll be the person making sure our students actually get what they need to land a job. You'll own the learning experience from start to finish.
What You'll Do
- Write great notes: You'll create clear, high-quality study materials (because no one likes reading boring, confusing textbooks).
- Deep dive into subjects: You need to actually know the topics. You'll be the expert making sure our PM or Marketing content is accurate and up to date.
- Design for learning: Use your instructional design skills to build paths that make sense. It's about how a student gets from I don't know this to I can do this.
- Own the outcomes: You're responsible for student success metrics. If students aren't learning or stay engaged, you'll be the one to figure out why and fix the content.
- Create practice tools: You'll build engaging assignments and take-home tasks that help students practice what they've learned in a real-world way.
- Curate the best stuff: You'll find the best resources out there and bring them together to give our students a top-tier experience.
Who You Are
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in instructional design, curriculum development, or learning-product roles; at least 3 years working on Product Management, Digital Marketing, or Analytics curricula preferred.
- Portfolio & outcomes: A portfolio with a minimum of 3 instructional artifacts (course module, assessment, and a capstone/project brief). Include at least one short case study or evidence showing measurable learner outcomes (e.g., improved completion, pass rates, or placement metrics) or the impact of your design decisions.
- Subject expertise: Demonstrable knowledge in one or more of Product Management, Digital Marketing, or Analyticsable to author and review content at an expert level and ensure technical accuracy.
- Assessment design: Hands-on experience creating formative and summative assessments, rubrics, and competency-based learning objectives. Able to write assessable learning outcomes aligned to Bloom's taxonomy or similar frameworks.
- Data-driven: Comfortable with learner analytics and basic experimental approaches (A/B testing, cohort analysis). Proficiency using Excel/Google Sheets for item analysis and experience with analytics or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Google Analytics) is preferred.
- Tools & platforms: Proficiency with authoring and collaboration tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Figma, or similar; familiarity with LMS platforms (Moodle, Canvas, or proprietary systems) and content versioning workflows.
- Project & people management: Experience managing multiple concurrent course tracks (typically 24), delivering to deadlines, and mentoring junior designers. Familiarity with agile or iterative product development processes is a plus.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to translate complex concepts into learner-friendly language and produce clear facilitator notes and rubrics.
- Collaborative mindset: Demonstrated experience working with SMEs, hiring partners, and cross-functional teams to translate job requirements into curriculum and assessments.
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Relevant certifications (e.g., CTTL, ATD) are a plus.
- How we'll assess fit: Candidates should submit a portfolio and will be asked to complete a short design assignment or present a case study that demonstrates measurable impact on learner outcomes.
