This position is responsible for designing and developing high-quality online programs in collaboration with top-tier universities across the US globe
Key Responsibilities
- Build and align content with the learning outcomes, learning activities, and stakeholder specifications.
- Design storyboards for engaging and visually appealing videos to enhance learning effectiveness.
- Use visual design principles and techniques to conceptualize content, articulate ideas, and design multimedia elements.
- Collaborate with the production team and provide clear and concise instructions.
- Perform QA and QC to ensure the learning materials in the learning platform conform with the quality standards.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
- Deliver projects on time and ensure they meet the high-quality benchmarks of the organization.
- Participate in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and solutions for process improvement.
- Remain current with and have a thorough understanding of the emerging applications of instructional multimedia, instructional technology, and trends in online education, and propose improvements as appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- 2 to 8 years of experience in instructional design and online content development
- Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills
- Knowledge of real-world application of adult learning theories and instructional design principles
- Demonstrated experience in scripting engaging storyboards that effectively convey ideas
- Demonstrated experience in designing and developing visually compelling videos and other multimedia assets
- Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and authoring tools such as Articulate 360 and H5P
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication, management, and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Preferred Skills and Knowledge
- Degree or certification in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skill working with online learning tools and software
- Experience designing or converting courses for online delivery
- Knowledge of the backward design model
- Experience working on Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Knowledge of accessibility standards
- Familiarity with known course design quality standards (e.g., Quality Matters)
