Instructional Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and creative Instructional Designer to join our Engineering Enablement's Documentation and Training team. In this role, you will support the design and development of engaging learning experiences using modern instructional design practices and content authoring tools. Working under the guidance of senior L&D professionals, you will help translate ideas, content, and SME insights into clear, accurate, and learnerfriendly materials.

This is an excellent opportunity for earlycareer learning professionals to develop expertise, grow in the instructional design field, and contribute to impactful learning initiatives across ADI.

Responsibilities

  • Learning Design & Development
  • Assist in designing and developing highquality learning assets based on adultlearning principles.
  • Create and update elearning modules, presentations, infographics, videos, job aids, and other multimedia learning materials.
  • Apply templates, standards, and style guidelines to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Content Creation & Support
  • Draft, edit, and prepare learning content for review by senior designers and SMEs.
  • Build assessments, quizzes, and simple evaluation tools.
  • Support the integration of AI tools to accelerate content development and improve learning experiences.
  • Collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Participate in contentgathering sessions with SMEs.
  • Clarify requirements, capture key information, and prepare draft storyboards or scripts for review.
  • Ensure accuracy by incorporating SME feedback into learning materials.
  • CrossTeam Collaboration & Administration
  • Work with multimedia developers, LMS administrators, and other L&D team members to support delivery and maintenance of learning solutions.
  • Assist with uploading, testing, and publishing courses in the LMS.
  • Contribute to team meetings, documentation updates, and process improvements.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communications, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • Some experience (internship, academic projects, or 2+ years professional experience) in instructional design or content development.
  • Familiarity with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise, Camtasia, Vyond, Adobe tools, or similar.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize information clearly and follow established design standards.
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and work in a fastpaced environment.

Preferred

  • Experience working with an LMS (SCORM, xAPI understanding helpful).
  • Interest in learning technologies, multimedia design, or AIenhanced content development.
  • Basic project coordination skills.
