POSITION SUMMARY

The Digital Asset Developer is responsible for designing and developing high-quality 3D models to support technical training, product simulations, and immersive digital environments. This role plays a critical part in enhancing AR/VR learning experiences by creating realistic and technically accurate assets, ensuring they integrate seamlessly into immersive platforms. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative, with a solid understanding of digital modeling techniques and a passion for emerging technologies in immersive training.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop detailed, accurate, and optimized 3D models of mechanical, electrical, and structural components based on engineering drawings, product specifications, and real-world objects.
  • Support the integration of 3D models into AR/VR platforms (Unity, Keyshot, or similar) for interactive training experiences.
  • Collaborate with instructional designers, engineers, and developers to translate technical content into interactive digital assets.
  • Apply appropriate textures, lighting, and materials to enhance visual fidelity while maintaining performance for real-time applications.
  • Optimize assets for performance across various devices (desktop, mobile, and headsets).
  • Maintain an organized library of reusable digital assets and version-controlled files.
  • Participate in testing and refinement cycles to ensure user experience, accuracy, and compatibility.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices in 3D modeling, AR/VR, and interactive media.
  • Coordinate with Vertiv's regional teams across different geographies to tailor training programs that address specific technical requirements, compliance standards, and cultural nuances.
  • Facilitate consistent knowledge-sharing across regions and adapt training content to meet the needs of diverse international audiences.
  • Leverage augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) technologies to create immersive, interactive training modules that enhance understanding of complex high-density cooling systems.
  • Regular virtual meetings with global counterparts across multiple time zones.
  • Other like-duties and responsibilities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Computer Graphics, Game Design, Industrial Design, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years experience in digital asset creation and management, game design, or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills with experience working on globally diverse teams.
  • Preferred experience in instructional design and training delivery.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR tools to deliver hands on experiences remotely.

DESIRED SKILL SET

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software's such as SolidWorks, Creo Parametric, CATIA, OnShape, and similar.
  • Proficiency in 3D rendering software's such as Keyshot, Cinema4D, Blender, and similar.
  • Familiarity with Video Editing programs such as Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects.
  • Understanding of real-time rendering workflows and optimization for AR/VR environments.
  • Familiarity with AR/VR development platforms (Unity, Unreal Engine) and asset pipeline integration.
  • Basic understanding of scripting (C#, Python, or Blueprint) is a plus.
  • Strong visual and spatial design sense with attention to technical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
