About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Installation Engineer with strong electrical and electronics fundamentals to work on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and pallet trucks.
This role involves on-ground installation, wiring, and integration of electrical systems, PLCs, and control units onto industrial machines. If you enjoy working with real hardware, troubleshooting systems, and building things that operate in the real world — this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical wiring and installation on forklifts and other MHEs
- Integrate controllers, PLCs, sensors, relays, and custom circuits into machines
- Work on machine installation, retrofitting, and system upgrades
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Work on battery systems (24V / 48V) and power distribution
- Install and test safety systems, control modules, and embedded devices
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and ensure reliable system performance
- Collaborate with the engineering team for improvements and iterations
- Support on-site deployments and client installations when required
Requirements
- Strong understanding of:
- Basic electrical systems
- Wiring, connectors, relays, and circuits
- DC systems (preferred: 24V / 48V)
- Hands-on experience with tools like multimeter, crimping tools, soldering, etc.
- Exposure or interest in PLC systems and industrial automation
- Interest or experience in machine installation and field work
- Ability to work on physical systems (machines, vehicles, etc.)
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn
Good to Have (Bonus)
- Diploma in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Experience working with forklifts, EVs, or industrial equipment
- Exposure to motor controllers, Arduino, or embedded systems
- Understanding of CAN communication or industrial wiring standards
- Prior field / installation experience
