Job Title: Inspection Engineer Mechanical (Offshore)
Department: Asset Integrity / Inspection
Location: Offshore
Reports To: Inspection Superintendent / Asset Integrity Manager
Job Purpose:
To execute and improve mechanical inspection activities for offshore installations, ensuring equipment integrity, regulatory compliance, and safe operation of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspection & Integrity Management: Conduct inspections for mechanical equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, etc.). Perform NDT interpretation, condition assessments, and support Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
- Offshore Operations: Coordinate inspection tasks during offshore campaigns, shutdowns, and emergencies. Ensure compliance with safety procedures.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed inspection reports with recommendations and follow-up actions.
- NDT & Vendor Coordination: Review NDT reports and supervise third-party NDT contractors.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Certifications: API 510/570/653, CSWIP 3.1/3.2, NACE/AMPP, ASNT-II preferred.
- Experience: 6+ years in mechanical inspection, offshore experience, pressure equipment inspection, NDT coordination, and RBI methodologies.
- Skills: Knowledge of mechanical integrity, strong analytical and reporting skills, offshore safety certifications.
