Cambrian Bioworks is a Bangalore-based biotechnology company building automated solutions and chemistries for molecular diagnostics and genomics research. Role overview:

The Inside Sales Specialist works in the Sales team and ensures the sales team operates efficiently by maintaining a clean CRM pipeline, managing lead qualification, coordinating follow-ups, and supporting distributor communication. This role is critical to improving sales productivity, pipeline visibility, and customer response times.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Lead Qualification & Meeting Scheduling

  • Qualify marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) and determine fit
  • Cold-call prospective customers to schedule meetings
  • Schedule meetings and demos for the appropriate sales representatives
  • Ensure timely response to inbound customer enquiries

2.CRM Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
  • Ensure all opportunities are properly stage-gated
  • Update contact records, deal notes, and next actions
  • Track follow-ups and ensure CRM discipline

3.Pipeline Reporting

  • Prepare weekly pipeline reports
  • Highlight deal movement, stalled opportunities, and required follow-ups
  • Maintain visibility into lead sources and opportunity progress

4.Distributor Coordination

  • Manage routine communication with distributors
  • Coordinate meeting scheduling and follow-ups
  • Ensure cadence in distributor review meetings and relevant teams

5.GeM Bid Application Management

  • Manage Government e-Marketplace (GeM) bid submissions and documentation
  • Track tender opportunities and coordinate internal inputs for bid responses
  • Ensure timely submission and compliance with GeM requirements
  • Maintain records of submitted bids and status updates

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Highly organized and process-driven
  • 0-2 years of experience in business development, B2B sales or similar roles
  • Comfortable working with CRM platforms
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities and track follow-ups effectively
  • Detail-oriented with strong data management skills
  • Background in life sciences, biotechnology, or related fields
