Position Overview:
The Inside Sales Counsellor will be responsible for guiding prospective students through the admissions process for online degree and certification programs. The role involves understanding student needs, explaining program offerings, and ensuring a smooth enrolment experience while achieving monthly sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Management & Counselling
- Engage with inbound leads through phone calls, emails, WhatsApp, and other communication channels.
- Understand the learner's academic background, career goals, and interests to recommend suitable online programs.
- Provide complete program details including curriculum, fees, EMI options, and career outcomes.
Sales & Conversion
- Follow up with potential students and nurture them through the decision-making process.
- Maintain high conversion rates by building rapport and trust with students.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly enrolment targets.
Process & Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in CRM tools.
- Assist students in completing application forms, submitting documents, and payment processes.
- Coordinate with operations and admission teams to ensure timely enrolments.
Customer Experience
- Provide end-to-end support to students until successful admission.
- Address queries related to program structure, accreditation, certifications, and university details.
- Ensure a positive student experience, contributing to referrals and repeat inquiries.
Collaboration
- Work closely with the marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality.
- Coordinate with academic and operations teams for smooth onboarding of students.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on new programs and industry trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
- 0 4 years of experience in inside sales, counselling, or customer service (EdTech experience is an added advantage).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain program details clearly and convincingly.
- Target-driven mindset with strong follow-up abilities.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and MS Office.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
