Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer to lead the modernisation of our core infrastructure services. In this role, you will lead the architectural redesign and migration of our legacy Puppet 5 ecosystem to Puppet 7+, while architecting a next-generation IPAM/DDI solution. Working closely across hardware, networking, and platform teams, you will leverage enterprise Python development skills to build API-driven tools and self-service automation workflows that ensure scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure operations.

What will your role look like

• Lead the redesign and consolidation of configuration management technologies (Ansible, Puppet) into a unified Puppet 7+ enterprise solution.

• Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) playbooks, modules, and templates to enforce security baselines and repeatable deployments.

• Design and implement scalable corporate IPAM and DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) platforms, managing full IP allocation lifecycles across multiple datacenters.

• Develop enterprise-grade Python tools and REST APIs to orchestrate compute, storage, network, and cloud infrastructure workflows.

• Integrate IPAM/DDI platforms with provisioning, bootstrapping, and CMDB workflows for dynamic, automated updates.

• Implement observability solutions including monitoring, alerting, and dashboards using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Nagios.

• Participate in incident response, perform root cause analysis, create runbooks, and track key metrics (availability, latency, capacity) to drive improvements.

We would like you to bring along

• 5+ years of enterprise software development experience in Python, focusing on automation scripts, tooling, and REST API integrations.

• Deep, hands-on knowledge of Puppet 5 and Puppet 7 ecosystems, both as a user and developer.

• Strong enterprise-scale expertise in IPAM, DNS, DHCP, and managing DDI solutions as code.

• Proven experience with configuration management and IaC tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.

• Proficiency in Linux systems administration, bare-metal provisioning, hypervisors, and CMDB integration.

• Strong operational mindset focused on reliability, supportability, cross-functional collaboration, and solving ambiguous technical challenges.
