Your Role And Responsibilities
The IBM Cloud Databases (ICD) team is responsible for developing and operating the Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings that provide Database as a Services (DBaaS) in IBM Cloud.
The Infrastructure Specialist engineer must have a deep understanding of Kubernetes clusters, HA configurations, good knowledge of python or GoLang and general operations in a production environment. The key requirement is to have a passion for maintaining a High quality, Highly Available service.

As a Infrastructure Specialist, Candidates should have a strong desire to work within a CICD environment and have a passion for embracing new cloud technologies. Candidate should have track record of delivering microservices based SW solutions using Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Gradle, Travis and Docker. The engineer will participate in the design of the service, writing tools and automation, building containers and developing automated tests.

- Experience operating a cloud-based service and CICD environment.
- Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters.
- Understanding and updating Helm charts.
- Understanding container lifecycle.
- Troubleshooting failures in the control plane or container.
- Experience in Python or GoLang
