Primary title: VMware VDI Infrastructure Architect
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain VMware Horizon VDI environments including Connection Servers, UAG, instant-clone/composer images, and pool lifecycle management.
- Perform L2 incident triage and remediation for VDI and underlying infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN), driving root-cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Manage day-to-day vSphere operations: host provisioning, patching, HA/DRS configuration, resource tuning, and cluster lifecycle activities.
- Integrate storage and network components for VDI workloadscoordinate SAN/NAS, VLAN design, MTU tuning, and virtual networking with security gateway configurations.
- Automate operational tasks and deployments using scripting and IaC tools; maintain runbooks, configuration baselines, and change-control artifacts.
- Monitor performance and capacity using platform tooling; provide capacity forecasts, optimization recommendations, and operational handoffs to NOC/shift teams.

Qualifications: Hands-on L2 experience supporting enterprise VMware VDI and virtualization stacks with strong troubleshooting, automation, and operational runbook development. Relevant VMware certifications and prior exposure to change-control and incident management processes are advantageous.
