Job Description

Project Role : Infra Tech Support Practitioner

Project Role Description : Provide L1L2 technical support for infrastructure, systems, and applications in production and development environments, both remotely and onsite, following defined operating models and processes. Act as the primary interface with users/clients to accurately diagnose issues and deliver effective resolutions across infrastructure, operating systems, networks, and application platforms, ensuring service stability and quality support.

Summary-: Looking for a Senior Network Design Engineer who will be actively involved in plans, architect, and implementing secure, scalable, and high-performance virtual network infrastructures within public or hybrid cloud environments

Roles& Responsibilities

Network Design, Implementation & Lifecycle Management, Support design, build, and configuration of network infrastructure across on-premises and cloud (OCI & Oracle Engineered Systems like PCA x11 ) environments.

Plan and execute network migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities aligned with change management.

Lead and support network build, upgrade, and migration projects

Configure and maintain routing, switching, firewall, and load balancing devices according to standards.

Maintain up-to-date documentation, including topology diagrams, MOPs, and runbooks.

Operational Excellence & Reliability

Provide break-fix support during network events, act as an escalation point, and lead root cause analysis

Monitor network performance, capacity, and health metrics to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.

Work with vendors (Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, Netscaler) for software updates, bug resolution, and performance enhancements.

Enforce configuration standards, operational policies, and security controls.

Contribute to problem management, trend analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Cloud, Security, Data Center Engineering) to ensure seamless network operations.

Participate in service transition reviews, ensuring new deployments meet operational readiness standards.

Professional & Technical Skills

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience. 7+ years of experience managing large-scale enterprise and network environments.

Strong Hands-on Experience With

Cisco Routing and Switching (IOS, NX-OS)

Firewalls: Cisco ASA and Palo Alto

Load Balancers: F5 LTM/GTM or Citrix Netscaler

Data Center Networking: Cisco ACI fabric configuration and operations

Cloud (OCI/AWS) and on-premise systems.

Deep understanding of Layer 47 protocols, including TCP, UDP, AH, ESP, SMB, RCP, TLS, SSL, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SNMP, SMTP, and SSH.

Strong experience in network troubleshooting, incident management, and change control processes. Proficiency in network automation and DevOps practices, with experience using tools and languages such as Python, Ansible, Chef, Docker, Terraform. Exposure to network monitoring and management tools).Excellent communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions.

Preferred Skills And Experience

5+ years of experience in network peering, design, customer provisioning, migration, and decommissioning.

2+ years of experience designing and managing cloud-based network services

Hands-on experience with traffic management and load balancing technologies

Experience supporting DNS infrastructure and services

Proficiency working in Linux/Unix environments for network operations and troubleshooting
