We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Support Specialist to join our team in Vadodara, India. This position will serve a combined first and second line of technical support for end users, providing hardware, software, and server-side support across local and global operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, a customer-centric approach, and hands-on experience supporting both endpoint devices and back-end systems in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
What You'll Do
General IT Responsibilities
- Respond to and manage IT service requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Troubleshoot Windows desktop operating systems (Windows 10/11), Microsoft 365 apps, and hardware/peripheral issues.
- Perform system onboarding and offboarding including account setup, access provisioning, and asset tracking.
- Recognize and escalate advanced or critical issues to business unit or global IT teams.
- Document resolutions and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
- Mentor junior IT support staff in issue diagnosis and resolution strategies.
Server Support Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for on-premises or virtual Windows Server environments.
- Perform basic server administration tasks, including user account creation, password resets, and file share permission management via Active Directory.
- Assist with routine patching, performance monitoring, and event log analysis.
- Support and monitor file servers, print servers, and domain controllers.
- Assist in backup operations and restoration procedures in coordination with senior IT staff.
- Document local server configurations and track system health indicators.
- Coordinate with global server and infrastructure teams for larger deployments or escalations.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent diploma) in Computer Science, Information
- Technology, or a related field from a recognized Indian university or technical institution.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in desktop support and basic server administration, preferably in a mid-sized or global enterprise.
- Experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and file/print server management.
- Familiarity with backup software and basic system recovery techniques.
- Ability to handle multiple support issues effectively in a time-sensitive environment.
- Willingness to learn server administration and become our internal expert.
- Proficiency in Windows 11/10 and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience using remote support tools like TeamViewer, AnyDesk, or Remote Desktop.
- Strong communication abilities in English, both written and verbal.
What We Value
- Exposure to virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices or frameworks like ISO 27001 or NIST 800-53 is beneficial.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Administrator, CompTIA Server+, or MCSA are a plus but not required.
