Job Description

Position Summary

The IT Officer will be responsible for providing reliable and efficient IT support services at the branch office. This role involves utilizing technical expertise to resolve system issues, manage IT infrastructure, implementing new technologies, and ensure smooth day-to-day IT operations. The incumbent will support users by maintaining optimal performance of hardware, software, and network systems in accordance with organizational standards.

Job Profile / Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end local IT support for all IT functions within the office, including desktop support, network support, and basic server administration.
  • Manage installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT hardware and software.
  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity, IP addressing, and network devices to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Handle call logging, issue tracking, and timely resolution of user-reported incidents.
  • Support implementation of IT projects and rollout of new systems or applications as required.
  • Ensure adherence to established IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for effective resolution of technical issues.
  • Maintain documentation related to IT assets, processes, and support activities.

Educational Qualifications

  • Polytechnic Diploma or Graduate in Information Technology, and Computer Science.
  • Basic qualifications in Hardware and IT support.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in IT support or infrastructure management.

Skill Set / Competencies

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Sound knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with call logging systems and basic server environments.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, IP addressing, and network devices.
  • Hands-on experience with installation and maintenance of IT hardware and software.
  • Professional IT certifications will be considered an added advantage.
  • Strong teamwork orientation with good customer service and interpersonal skills.
