The team designs, implements and supports large-scale ETL solutions that feed reporting, analytics and downstream applications. This is an on-site opportunity in India for a hands-on developer focused on Informatica PowerCenter and enterprise ETL delivery.
Primary title: Informatica PowerCenter Developer
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop and maintain ETL mappings, sessions and workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to implement source-to-target requirements.
- Build and execute data extraction, transformation and load logic for structured source systems; implement data cleansing and validation rules.
- Manage repository objects, folders and deployments; promote code across DEV TEST PROD and maintain version control for ETL artifacts.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis and apply performance tuning to mappings, sessions and workflows for optimal throughput.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data modelers and QA to translate functional requirements into technical designs and support UAT and cutover activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentationmapping specs, run-books and operational support procedures; provide on-call production support as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Must-Have Proven experience designing and implementing ETL solutions using Informatica PowerCenter
- Must-Have Strong SQL skills and experience with Oracle Database or equivalent RDBMS
- Must-Have UNIX/Linux shell scripting for job automation and operational tasks
- Must-Have Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling and SCD implementations
- Must-Have Experience with repository management, code promotion and multi-environment deployments
- Must-Have Troubleshooting and ETL performance tuning experience for large-volume data pipelines
- Preferred Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS) or PowerExchange
- Preferred Familiarity with MPP platforms (Teradata/Redshift) or similar analytical databases
- Preferred Exposure to CI/CD tooling for ETL and version control (Git/Bitbucket)
