About The Opportunity
A role within the IT Services & Staffing sector supporting enterprise data integration and analytics engagements across banking, retail, and technology clients. This on-site position focuses on building, optimizing, and supporting ETL pipelines that feed data warehouses, reporting platforms, and downstream analytics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL mappings, workflows, and sessions using Informatica PowerCenter to deliver reliable data integration pipelines.
- Translate source-to-target requirements into scalable ETL solutions; implement data transformation, validation, and error-handling logic.
- Perform performance tuning of mappings, workflows, and database queries to meet SLAs for batch windows and data latency.
- Troubleshoot run-time issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement fixes; provide production support and on-call assistance for critical jobs.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and DBAs to finalize data models, ingestion patterns, and deployment plans.
- Prepare technical documentation, unit test plans, and deployment runbooks; assist with cutovers and post-deployment validations.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- Proven hands-on experience with Informatica PowerCenter for ETL development and production support.
- Strong ETL mapping design and workflow development skills, including reusable transformations and parameterization.
- Advanced SQL and PL/SQL skills for query design, debugging, and optimization against OLTP/OLAP databases.
- Experience in performance tuning of Informatica mappings, sessions, and database queries.
- Familiarity with UNIX/Linux command line and shell scripting for job automation and log analysis.
- Practical knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server and data warehousing concepts.
Preferred
- Experience with Informatica Cloud / IICS or migration experience from PowerCenter to IICS.
- Exposure to data modeling (star/snowflake), CI/CD for ETL, or orchestration tools (Oozie, Airflow).
- Familiarity with source control (Git), automated deployments, and Agile delivery practices.
