Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Infection Control Nurse, based in Chennai. The role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention and control policies and protocols within the hospital. Responsibilities include educating healthcare staff about infectious diseases, conducting surveillance to prevent hospital-acquired infections, and ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards. The Infection Control Nurse will collaborate with the medical and nursing teams to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and skills in Infection Control, Infection Prevention, and management of infectious diseases
- Proficiency in Nursing and clinical care practices
- Understanding of medical procedures and their role in preventing and managing infections
- Effective communication and leadership abilities to educate staff and influence infection control practices
- Attention to detail and analytical skills to identify risks and implement solutions
- Experience in healthcare settings, particularly in infection prevention and control, is highly desirable
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field; additional certifications in Infection Control or Epidemiology are an advantage
