Role Description

This is a remote, contract-based position for an Industrial/Product Designer with Constraal. In this role, you will conceptualize and design products that blend aesthetics with functionality, aligning them with Constraal's vision of human-centered, adaptive technology. Responsibilities include ideating and sketching product concepts, prototyping, integrating design thinking practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering and robotics specialists. You will also engage in research to understand user behaviors, needs, and preferences to ensure products meet users expectations effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Visual Design and Product Design
• Experience with Design Thinking methodologies and User Research
• Proficiency in UX Research to inform and refine design solutions
• Creative problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in design tools and prototyping software
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to give and receive feedback effectively
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field
• Prior experience in designing products for robotics, smart home systems, or consumer appliances is a plus
• Proven experience designing physical products that have been manufactured and shipped
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles
• Experience working with factories and suppliers
• Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and execution mindset
