Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Manager to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in indirect tax compliance and advisory, with a focus on GST and VAT. This role will involve managing the indirect tax function, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic advice to optimize the organization's tax position.
Responsibilities
Manage and oversee the indirect tax compliance process including GST, VAT, and other applicable taxes.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and payments.
Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with tax regulations and identify areas for improvement.
Provide strategic advice on tax planning and risk management to optimize tax positions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax implications are considered in business decisions.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
Assist in preparing documentation for tax audits and queries from tax authorities.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (CA, CPA, etc.) is preferred.
8-10 years of experience in indirect tax compliance and advisory services.
Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws, particularly GST and VAT.
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
