Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to traditional recipes and customer preferences.
- Ensure that all food is prepared in a clean and safe environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and maintain stock levels of ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and timely service.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-6 years of experience in Indian cuisine, with a strong understanding of regional variations.
- Proficient in using various kitchen equipment and tools, including tandoor ovens, grinders, and other cooking appliances.
- Strong knowledge of Indian spices, herbs, and cooking methods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
