The Equipment, Technology, and Services group of Koch Engineered Solutions (KES) is seeking an
India International Trade Operation Specialist supports daytoday import and export activities, ensuring documentation accuracy, compliance with basic regulatory requirements, and smooth coordination with internal teams and service providers. This role focuses on accurate execution and operational support.
What You Will Do
- Support daily EXIM (exportimport) activities including coordination with customs brokers, 3PL partners, and government agencies.
- Ensure all documentation for import/export transactions is prepared accurately and submitted on time according to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines.
- Assist with product classification by gathering required information and verifying HS codes provided by compliance teams.
- Coordinate with logistics teams and brokers to ensure goods move smoothly through customs and shipments are executed without delays.
- Maintain organized records of import/export documents for audits and compliance reviews.
- Support processing of Broker Letters of Instruction and Shippers Letters of Instruction by collecting necessary data and ensuring forms are completed correctly.
- Monitor basic regulatory updates as directed and share information with the team when relevant.
- Monitor and stay updated on basic regulatory changes related to export-import policies, tariffs & non-tariff circulars, notifications, particularly on platforms such as BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), QCO (Quality Control Orders), and trade control systems like SIMS (Steel Import Monitoring System), PIMS (Paper Import Management System etc.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) policies, notifications, and circulars by regularly consulting official DGFT and relevant ministry websites to ensure compliance with trade regulations and procedures in discussion Trade Compliance team
- Follow all company compliance policies related to customs, import/export laws, and sanctions.
- Assist with routine tasks related to IGST/GST, FTA, CoO, and DGFT documentation preparation under guidance from trade compliance specialists.
- Participate in internal training on trade compliance processes and maintain awareness of best practices
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- 5 - 8 years of experience in logistics, shipping, EXIM operations, supply chain, or administrative support roles.
- Good understanding of import/export processes and willingness to learn regulatory requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Good organizational and communication skills for coordination with internal teams and external service providers.
- Ability to follow structured processes and maintain complete records.
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, or logistics service providers.
- Familiarity with HS codes, IGST/GST, CoO, FTA documentation, or DGFT systems.
- Work experience in manufacturing, engineering, or equipmentrelated industries.
- Exposure to trade compliance systems or documentation workflows.
