General description of role:

Produce standardized financial reporting, claims/utilization insights, and projections for self‑insured clients using nationally aligned tools, templates, and visualization standards. This role is responsible for end‑to‑end execution of core analytics deliverables-including carrier data collection, source file updates, validation, and output generation-while supporting the consulting/financial team by preparing client-ready materials and ensuring reporting consistency across regions. Unlike client-facing consultant roles, this role supports delivery without owning primary client-facing responsibilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role is accountable for analytics execution and delivery (data collection, source file updates, validation, reporting outputs, and presentation financial sections).

The Colleague provides high quality administration support for internal and external clients by:

Operates as part of team under supervision of Project Lead/Ops Manager

  • Produce recurring financial/claims reporting deliverables aligned to nationally agreed templates and standardized client report outputs.
  • Support renewal and projection cycles by generating consistent reporting packages that align to national visualization expectations (e.g., standardized outputs across regions).
  • Collect required financial and claims/enrollment data from carriers (manual pull or receipt of carrier files/feeds where available) to support monthly reporting and projections.
  • Coordinate data intake activities across carrier sites and shared repositories as part of a nationally aligned data flow.
  • Enter claims information and related financial data into the standardized source file that feeds nationally agreed visualizations and reporting outputs.
  • Perform data validation and reasonableness checks (e.g., comparing to monthly reporting) to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytics outputs.
  • Support movement toward standardized Excel templates and future-state data drops into NFP Connect as the operating model evolves.
  • Support projection and renewal review deliverables by preparing inputs, running standardized tools/templates, and summarizing results for consulting teams.
  • Update and maintain financial slides/sections within standardized presentation materials (financial workbooks used with presentations), coordinating with the consulting/financial team on which slides are applicable in national presentations.
  • Provide second-seat support when needed by preparing analytics content and ensuring outputs are client-ready, while primary client-facing ownership remains with the consulting lead.
  • Support continuous movement away from manual processes by leveraging standardized data practices and participating in adoption of scalable tools (e.g., Power Query / automation initiatives referenced as part of future optimization).

Education & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent analytical experience preferred (finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or related discipline).
  • Experience supporting employee benefits analytics and/or insurance financial reporting preferred, including experience with self‑funded claims reporting and projections.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven ability to validate, reconcile, and interpret financial and claims data.
  • Advanced proficiency with structured Excel-based templates/source files and comfort producing standardized visualizations and outputs (e.g., Excel/PDF/BI-enabled formats).
  • Ability to complete repeatable monthly and renewal cycles, meeting timelines and maintaining quality standards.
  • Comfortable operating in an environment evolving toward improved automation, standardized file feeds/data extracts, and shared repositories.
  • Dedicated, with a strong analytical approach and robust problem-solving skills
