General description of role:

You will be a part of Aon's Commercial Risk Practice team, working as a key member of the team with the Account Executive (AE) and local Canadian Associate Account Executive (AAE). The role requires excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and deep understanding of insurance procedures, including Aon's Client Service Standards.

Job responsibilities:

The Colleague provides high quality account support for clients, being an integral member of the Account Service Team and sharing their expertise by:

  • Liaising with Client team (broker, AE, and AAE) to fully understand the client's business and insurance requirements
  • Contribute to the identification, collection, organization and storage of pertinent client documentation and correspondence in appropriate client files based on Aon Client Service Standard
  • Completing service requests
  • Creating client proposals
  • Assisting with the client invoice process, including tax allocation and premium collection follow-up
  • Participate in the client renewal process, collaborating with all members of the client team on marketing requirements, deadlines and deliverables
  • Coordinating client information with the account service team to assist with the renewal process, new business, project extensions, and mid-term changes
  • Contribute to the formulation of the service plan, reports and any other client documents, etc., as required
  • Provide ongoing support with administrative tasks as requested
  • Take ownership of problems and their resolution, seeking assistance where necessary

Skills/competencies required:

Our ideal candidate brings 5+ years of commercial risk experience. They have excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a broad range of audiences.

  • Strong business communication skills (email and conference calls) and fluent with English language
  • Should be flexible, keen on taking initiatives, accountable, and have a collaborative approach with fellow colleagues
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
  • Consistent track record of prioritizing tasks under ambitious timelines
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision
  • Must have strong digital literacy and be proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, including both self-directed learning and in-role training.
  • Well-developed project management skills, demonstrating ability to manage multiple tasks at various stages of completion
  • Should be well versed with basic tool functionalities for creating, editing, and formatting presentations
