Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Night Audit Duties:
- Reconcile and balance daily financial transactions, including guest accounts, cash, and credit card transactions.
- Verify and ensure all hotel revenue is accurately posted and recorded.
- Prepare and review daily financial reports, including occupancy statistics, revenue reports, and discrepancies.
- Perform end-of-day closing procedures, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Guest Services:
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, addressing inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Check guests in and out of the hotel, processing reservations and handling any special requests.
- Manage guest complaints and resolve issues effectively, ensuring a positive guest experience.
- Security and Safety:
- Conduct regular security checks of the property, including monitoring surveillance systems and ensuring the safety of guests and staff.
- Handle emergency situations, including coordinating with emergency services and following established protocols.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that arise during the night shift.
- Prepare and distribute communication logs and reports to relevant departments for follow-up.
- Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate records of guest interactions, transactions, and incidents.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and updating guest information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in hospitality management or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficient in using hotel management software and basic office equipment.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
