Incentive Compensation (IC) Technical System Analyst

Operations & Incident Response . Cross-Functional Coordination . Oracle Fusion IC . Redwood UX

Role Summary

This role is a hands-on technical analyst focused on reliable, compliant, and timely operation of Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation (IC). You will run production processes end-to-end, monitor data flows and jobs, triage and resolve incidents, and coordinate with Sales Ops, Finance/Payables, HR, ERP/CPQ, and Integration teams. You bring strong technical, analytical skills and familiarity with the Oracle Redwood user experience to design clear, usable reports and dashboards, and to communicate status crisply to business stakeholders.

Production Operations & Monitoring

  • Own daily/weekly IC batch schedules: transaction loads, crediting runs, attainment calculations, payment processing, and postings to Payables.
  • Monitor pipelines, job queues, and integration interfaces (OIC/ODI, REST/SOAP) detect anomalies via logs, alerts, and dashboards.
  • Maintain runbooks and SOPs keep procedures current across environments (DEV/TEST/PROD).
  • Perform reconciliations (source-to-IC, IC-to-Payables) and data quality checks analyze variances and correct data issues.

Incident Management & Problem Solving

  • Provide tier-2/3 support: rapid triage, root-cause analysis, and recovery for IC failures and data defects.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally: capture impact, communicate status/ETAs, and drive resolution across business and IT.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews document fixes, preventive actions, and automation opportunities.
  • Maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) escalate blockers proactively.

Configuration, Data & Reporting

  • Configure and maintain IC objects (participants/roles, comp plans, measures, crediting rules, payment plans) to support business operations.
  • Author performant SQL/PLSQL and design reports/dashboards using OTBI/BI Publisher leverage Redwood UX patterns (filters, cards, progressive disclosure) for clarity and usability.
  • Own data mappings and transformations design test data and regression suites for releases.

Analytics & Dashboards

  • Build interactive attainment and payment dashboards with drill-down/drill-through, filterable views, and role-based visibility.
  • Adopt Redwood visual and information design guidelines for consistency across Fusion apps.

Integrations & Interfaces

  • Operate and troubleshoot integrations with ERP/Payables (preferably Oracle EBS) and upstream transactional sources (CRM/CPQ/DataLake).
  • Work with integration teams on OIC/ODI flows, REST/SOAP APIs, and file-based interfaces (CSV/XML/JSON).

Governance, Security & Compliance

  • Adhere to access controls and role-based security support audits and evidence capture.
  • Follow change/release management: promote changes safely, maintain environment parity, and ensure regression coverage.
  • Track KPIs and SLAs (accuracy, timeliness, MTTR) publish operational scorecards.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication

  • Translate technical findings into clear business language provide concise incident updates and weekly operational status.
  • Facilitate working sessions with Sales Ops, Finance/Payables, HR Comp, and IT capture decisions and action items.
  • Deliver training and how-to guides for end users on reports, dashboards, approvals, and exception handling.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years operating Oracle Fusion Incentive Compensation or comparable SPM platforms like Varicent/Forma.ai/Everstage SP(M) ecosystems.
  • Strong hands-on experience in configure and maintain Incentive Comp functions and updating rules based on changing needs.
  • Experience with OTBI/BI Publisher and report/dashboard creation aligned to Redwood UX principles.
  • Integration skills: OIC/ODI, REST/SOAP APIs, error handling, logs/monitors, and file-based loads.
  • Proficiency with job scheduling/monitoring and release automation.
  • Excellent coordination and communication skills: crisp status, stakeholder alignment, and documentation.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and stable operations.

Nice-to-Have

  • Familiarity with Oracle Redwood UX (navigation patterns, components, design guidelines) and Visual Builder.
  • Familiarity with Oracle EBS Payables and Finance processes CPQ/CRM upstream data.
  • Scripting (Python/PowerShell) for automation and data tooling.
