The purpose of this position is to oversee the system engineering strategy and Chief Customer Engineering function for Electrified Motion systems based on market trends & legislations to be able to offer compliant & appropriate system solutions to each market segment /
OEMs enabling market competitiveness and sustainable growth of EM-IN - Shape, drive Technology, Engineering & Product Development, Create future-ready capability, Build and develop high performing team - in the domain of Electrified Motion (both High Voltage and Low Voltage) serving region India.
Envision and execute the market appropriate electrified system
strategy to enable long term sustainability of the business. Derive technology trends/ needs of regional customers
Derive, Create and Operationalize operating models for multiple archetypes of product/systems for Region India.
Set standards on topics of significance for the region (EM BBM)..eg: safety, quality, effectiveness (adaptability. Flexibility) , efficiency of process (speed, agility)Guide System-of-System/technology strategies basis changes in legislation, customer demands, market trends and international best practices and translate these into system and component level requirements for the respective RBUs
Orchestrate the joint technology strategy towards Hybird Electric Vehicles together with PS-IN
Ensure seamless Engineering interface between RB and RB affiliate entities
Develop, deploy and steer the Chief Customer Engineer (CCE) role for EM-IN and establish the key interface with other GBs like PS, XC and VM
Liaise with external stakeholders such as certifying institutes, government bodies and industry forums to guide the system engineering strategies and ensure EM-IN stays up-to-date with regulator guidelines.
Drive potential synergies and performance (Cross Region (IN-DE-CN-HU)cross BU, cross domain & cross entity) to maximise SoS (system of system) approach towards OEM
Influence and align strategy roadmap with OEMs (as eye-to-eye level representative from EM-IN on Technology topics with OEM CTOs)
Prepare and track the annual engineering budget in line with the long-term vision and short-term business objectives of EM-IN
Represent EM-IN with customer to propose appropriate system solutions engaging relevant customer engineering teams during project acquisition and execution.
Oversee delivery of customer requirements by ensuring that technical, legislative, and commercial aspects are adhered to for projects in a timely manner.
Oversee the availability of engineering infrastructure to support system and component testing and reliability validation based on development & customer requirements, including rationalization and achieving maximum utilization/ROI - Drive and co-ordinate regional investments in labs, buildings etc. with respective BUs
Develop the system engineering and testing competency requirements basis current and future trends and direct employee capability development accordingly.
Prefer 15 years of experience working on advanced propulsion technology development, know-how of EL architectures, systems a must. Proven expertise in driving technology driven customer market and culture of innovation. Experience working with OEMs a plus. Experience of Administration and Management of managers and teams a must
Advanced Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication) - Bachelors, Masters or Ph.D
A strong understanding of financial statements, cost models, budget management
Proficient in Project management collaboration tools and techniques
Competent in understanding business models and Bosch related merger/integration processes
Ability to identify, track, and capture synergies (cost and revenue)
Expertise in guiding employees through significant transitions, managing cultural differences, and addressing resistance to change
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for aligning diverse stakeholders, inspiring cross-functional teams, and regularly updating senior leadership
Problem solving and strategic thinking to achieve deal's objectives by anticipating risks and adapting plans
