Job Summary

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

The In-Process Inspector Electronics Assembly is responsible for ensuring quality compliance during the manufacturing of UAV electronic assemblies. This role performs real-time inspections throughout the production process to verify workmanship, materials, and assembly processes meet defined engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements. The inspector works closely with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to detect defects early, prevent rework, and support continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

    • Perform in-process inspections across:
    • PCB Assembly (SMT & THT)
    • Wiring and harnessing
    • Mechanical assembly (frames, payload mounts)
    • Final UAV integration and testing
    • Conduct stage-wise quality checks as per control plans and inspection standards
    • Verify compliance with work instructions, SOPs, and engineering drawings
    • Monitor critical process parameters (soldering quality, torque values, alignment, calibration)
    • Identify, document, and control in-process defects and deviations
    • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure
    • Support root cause analysis using tools like 5 Why, Fishbone, and 8D
    • Implement and monitor corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
    • Ensure adherence to ESD, safety, and handling procedures
    • Conduct first article inspection (FAI) and line clearance activities
    • Participate in process audits and quality improvement initiatives
    • Work closely with production teams to ensure right-first-time manufacturing
