As a SAP consulting generalist at PwC, you will focus on providing consulting services across various SAP applications to clients, analysing their needs, implementing software solutions, and offering training and support for effective utilisation of SAP applications. Job Description & Summary: A career within…. 

Responsibilities: 


Technical Development 

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom SAP ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEF objects). 
  

• Develop and maintain SmartForms, SAPScripts, Adobe Forms, and ALV reports. 
  

• Create and manage user exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and enhancement spots. 
  
  

• Build and support interfaces between SAP and external systems using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, and Web Services. 
  

• Collaborate with functional consultants (SD, MM, FI, PP, etc.) to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
  
  

• Analyze and optimize ABAP code for performance and scalability. 
  

• Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices. 
  
  

• Provide technical support for SAP applications and resolve issues related to custom developments. 
  

• Participate in SAP upgrades, patching, and migration activities (e.g., ECC to S/4HANA). 
  
  

• Prepare technical specifications, unit test plans, and documentation for developed objects. 
  

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery. 
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. 
  

• Strong knowledge of: 
  

• Classical and Object-Oriented ABAP 
  

• Data Dictionary (DDIC) 
  

• Module Pool Programming 
  

• BDC, LSMW, and BAPI-based data migration 
  

• SmartForms, SAPScripts, Adobe Forms 
  

• ALV reporting (Classical, Interactive, and OO ALV) 
  

• Experience with debugging and performance tuning. 
  

• Familiarity with SAP modules like SD, MM, FI, PP, and their technical integration points. 
  
  

• Experience with S/4HANA and ABAP on HANA (CDS Views, AMDP, OData services). 
  

• Exposure to Fiori/UI5 development and SAP Gateway. 
  

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (e.g., Git, Jira). 
  

• SAP ABAP certification is a plus.
