Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Incharge - Maintenance to oversee the engineering department and ensure the seamless upkeep of our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance of all critical equipment and infrastructure, implementing preventive measures, and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and a steadfast commitment to operational safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance & Upkeep:
  • Oversee the maintenance of all critical hospital equipment, including generators, transformers, UPS systems, boilers, and AC systems.
  • Manage the upkeep of essential infrastructure, such as water management, sewage and waste treatment, kitchen equipment, and fire prevention systems.
  • Ensure the facility is always prepared for potential equipment breakdowns and provide support to all operational departments.
  • Planning & Documentation:
  • Maintain and manage Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) charts and documentation, including preventive maintenance schedules, contract duration, and cost details.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all service reports and submit comprehensive monthly maintenance and consumption reports.
  • Prepare duty rosters and allocate technicians to ensure smooth, 24/7 operations.
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure a safe work environment for all staff at all times.
  • Coordinate with local authorities to ensure necessary statutory compliances are met.
  • Implement and monitor daily electricity and water-saving measures.
  • Coordination & Management:
  • Coordinate all maintenance-related works and requirements with the Facility Director and other relevant departments.
  • Liaise with the projects team and vendors to manage all retrofit and renovation work.

Educational Qualifications

  • A diploma or degree in a relevant engineering field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical).

Required Skills

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of the maintenance and repair of various electrical, mechanical, and biomedical systems.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent ability to manage schedules, contracts, and documentation meticulously.
  • Leadership: Proven capability to lead a team of technicians and ensure efficient operations around the clock.
  • Safety Acumen: A firm commitment to workplace safety protocols and regulatory compliance.
  • Communication: Effective communication skills to coordinate with various departments, vendors, and authorities.
