Job Description

ATHARVA FOUNDRIES PVT. LTD.is a leading producer of high-quality S.G. Iron castings, committed to excellence in production, quality, and safety.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Electrical Maintenance In Charge to lead our electrical maintenance department. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maximum uptime of all electrical systems and equipment within our SG iron foundry, while strictly adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Management: Plan, schedule, and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks for all electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults in a timely manner to minimize machine downtime.
  • Equipment Expertise: Oversee the maintenance of induction furnaces, EOT (Electric Overhead Traveling) cranes, PLC-controlled machinery, control panels (PCC, MCC, VFD), transformers, and substations.
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure strict compliance with all electrical safety norms, regulations, and company policies, including lockout-tagout procedures and statutory requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, manage, train, and mentor the electrical maintenance team, fostering a culture of safety and efficiency.
  • Inventory & Budget Control: Manage spare parts inventory and assist in the preparation and monitoring of the departmental maintenance budget.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed maintenance logs, service records, and generate performance reports (e.g., MTTR, MTBF, OEE) for senior management.
  • Project Support: Assist in the installation, commissioning, and project-related activities for new equipment and plant expansions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles such as TPM, 5S, and Kaizen activities.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree (B.E./B. Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance within a heavy manufacturing or industrial environment, with a significant portion specifically in an Iron/Steel or SG Iron foundry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of industrial power distribution, motors, drives (AC/DC/Servo), PLCs, and control instrumentation.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across departments.
  • Proficiency in using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferably SAP.
