Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Import Operations Manager to lead and manage end-to-end import operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in freight forwarding, hands-on experience in air and sea imports, and proven team management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage complete Air Import and Sea Import operations

• Coordinate with foreign agents, shipping lines, co-loaders, CHAs, transporters, and other stakeholders

• Supervise the operations team, allocate tasks, and ensure timely shipment updates and DSR reporting

• Handle operational escalations, shipment delays, and critical customer issues

• Ensure accurate documentation and smooth execution of shipment processes, including ODEX handling

• Manage customs clearance coordination and shipment delivery processes

• Maintain high service standards and ensure effective client communication

• Monitor operational efficiency and ensure compliance with company procedures

• Review shipment status reports, operational MIS, and team performance regularly

• Ensure timely billing coordination and resolution of operational bottlenecks

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in Freight Forwarding Import Operations and Customer Service

• Freight Forwarding industry experience is mandatory

• Strong knowledge of Air Import and Sea Import operations

• Prior team handling and leadership experience is required

• Strong understanding of shipping documentation, customs clearance processes, ODEX, detention, demurrage, and delivery procedures

• Experience coordinating with foreign agents, shipping lines, co-loaders, CHAs, transporters, and customers

• Ability to independently handle operational escalations and customer issues

• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi

• Must be located within a commutable distance of Gurugram, Haryana

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing a team of Import Operations Executives and Customer Service Executives

• Experience working on Freight Forwarding ERP, TMS, or logistics management systems

• Experience handling high-volume Air and Sea Import shipments

• Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
